Below are a selection of some of our tutors profiles:

 

Tutor 1 - This tutor was the Pac 12 Male Scholar Athlete of the year, a Pac 12 Champion, and graduated from Stanford in 2013 with a degree in Political Science.  During his time at Stanford, he volunteered at 2nd Mile and in other organizations around the Bay Area.  He worked closely with local youth as a coach and as a tutor, sharpening his skills and realizing his love for helping people reach their academic goals.  He plans to pursue an MBA in the near future, and daylights as a high tech worker in Silicon Valley.  

 

Tutor 2 -  This tutor graduated from Stanford with a degree in Human Biology with a concentration in human physiology and health. Along with a rigorous pre-med coursework, she was also a member of the varsity swim team and competed in the Olympic Trials. She has been tutoring since 2006, and she covers all subjects including math, science, history, writing, and public speaking. Her excellent communication skills and patience have made her a successful tutor with students of all ages. She is currently a research assistant at the Stanford Hospital and hopes to go to medical school in the upcoming year. In her free time, she enjoys participating in humanitarian efforts and has been involved in social projects to bring healthcare and education to rural communities in China and Nepal. Additionally, she is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese, with a working knowledge of Spanish.

 

Tutor 3 - This tutor is a Stanford graduate with a degree in Communication and a Minor in English.  During his academic career, he received help from great tutors and truly believes in the ability they have to help a student.  As an Undergraduate at Stanford, he worked with local outreach programs, tutoring at risk youth in 2nd Grade - High School level courses.  After college, he spent several years tutoring with a boutique tutoring group in the Menlo-Atherton area.  He enjoys working with challenging students - those who don't "get it" yet.  His communication skills make the most difficult of concepts seem simple and his passion for excellence will be passed on to those he works with.
